These berry s’mores are a simple, delicious summer dessert. Fresh berries meet melty chocolate, toasted marshmallows and crisp graham crackers for a delightful mix of flavors and textures.

In summer our refrigerator is always stocked with berries, and these s’mores are one of our favorite ways to enjoy them. They’re quick to assemble and perfect for backyard gatherings, bonfires, or holiday celebrations like Memorial Day and the 4th of July.

Berry S’mores: Ingredients & Substitutions
- Graham crackers. Use your favorite brand; swap in a gluten-free variety if needed.
- Marshmallows. Large marshmallows work best (avoid jumbo). For extra flavor and texture, homemade marshmallows are a great option.
- Chocolate. Dark chocolate pairs beautifully with fresh berries, but use any chocolate you prefer.

How to Make Berry S’mores
S’mores are a year-round favorite in our house — easy, fun, and kid-approved. When the weather allows, we toast marshmallows over a fire pit. In colder months we use the stove top or even the microwave when needed.

Before roasting, set up your ingredients so assembly is quick. Break graham crackers in half and place a piece of chocolate on each bottom half. Arrange the berries in a bowl nearby. The goal is to get the warm marshmallow straight onto the chocolate so it melts slightly.
Roast each marshmallow to your preferred level of toastiness, slide it carefully onto the chocolate-topped cracker, add a few fresh berries, and top with the second cracker. Serve immediately while everything is warm and gooey.
