Rae Dunn Herb Planters: Stylish Ceramic Pots for Kitchen Herbs

If you follow Simply2Moms on Instagram, you may have seen my post from Thursday when I was shopping at TJ Maxx. My daughter wanted a planner for back to school, and while hunting for that $7.99 planner I stumbled upon a bunch of Rae Dunn pieces. One quick stop turned into a bit more shopping than planned—sound familiar?

My sister introduced me to Rae Dunn a few months ago, and I’ve caught the collecting bug. It’s fun hunting for pieces, although it can quickly become addictive. Suddenly I find myself wanting things I didn’t know I needed until I saw them. While I was texting her photos from the store, she asked me to pick up some thank-you cards and notepads. There was a little mix-up about the herb planters—she thought I bought them for her, but I kept them for myself. If anyone sees another set, let me know! And Trisha, I’ll bring some for you at Christmas… consider this my confession and my gift.

I’ve been meaning to plant mint for mojitos all summer but hadn’t gotten to it. If you remember Anne’s Low Carb Mojito recipe, it’s delicious—perfect for fresh mint. When I saw the Rae Dunn herb planters and the matching tray, I knew they’d look great on my kitchen windowsill and finally give me an excuse to plant herbs. I stopped at Lowe’s and picked up cilantro, basil, and mint. Once they were in the pots, the windowsill suddenly looked so pretty.

I love how they turned out. The planters make the space feel intentional, like I’m someone who cooks and uses fresh herbs—though the truth is, my culinary confidence only extends as far as muddling mint for mojitos. Still, the windowsill adds charm and a fresh touch to the kitchen.

One more close-up—those planters are just too cute to pass up.
