Guist Creek Marina & Campground sits in Shelbyville, Kentucky, just steps from the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Bulleit Distilling Co. is directly across the street from the campground entrance, making this an ideal base for anyone planning to explore local distilleries.

Guist Creek Marina & Campground
This Shelby County campground offers spacious sites and friendly staff. The park accommodates a mix of long-term residents, monthly visitors, and short-term guests, so you’ll find a welcoming atmosphere whether you’re staying a few nights or several weeks.
The location is a major draw: the campground sits on Guist Creek Lake, the county’s largest lake, with a convenient boat ramp. Anglers often target largemouth bass, and the marina provides easy access for boats, kayaks, and paddleboards. Note that fishing from the campground docks is not permitted.
The marina office carries supplies such as snacks, live bait, tackle, fuel, and ice, so you can stock up without a trip into town. Because of its proximity to Bulleit, the campground is especially convenient for bourbon enthusiasts exploring the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
RV sites include 50-amp electric service, water, a picnic table, and a fire ring. The dump station is easy to access. Pull-through sites are available; during our visit we stayed in site #102. Rates can be very affordable—our nightly rate was around $30, with discounted monthly rates offered as well.
The campground is kept very clean, and the office staff are noted for their helpfulness and friendliness, which makes arrivals and stays smooth and pleasant.
