Glow in the Dark Water

Carefully remove the tip from a yellow highlighter. It may require a bit of steady effort to pull it free. Inside the marker you will find a felt reservoir saturated with fluorescent ink — remove that piece using gloves to avoid staining your hands.

Hold the ink-filled felt over a glass and, with a very slow trickle of water, gently squeeze the felt so the dye disperses into the glass. The water will appear normal under regular lighting, but it will fluoresce brightly when illuminated with a black light.

This glowing effect looks especially striking when added to a small tabletop fountain or any setup where the water circulates, allowing the fluorescence to move and shimmer with the flow.

Do not ingest the solution. The ink is not food-safe and can be harmful if swallowed. Handle the dye with care and dispose of any unused material responsibly.
