Cookie Monster Ice Cream
We love making homemade no-churn ice cream, and this Cookie Monster version might be our favorite so far. A simple vanilla base is tinted a cheerful blue and studded with chopped Oreos and Chips Ahoy cookies for maximum cookies-and-cream flavor. This recipe is easy, requires no ice cream maker, and is a hit with kids and adults alike.

What equipment do you need?
No special equipment is required. Traditional ice cream often calls for an ice cream machine, but no-churn recipes only need a mixing bowl, an electric mixer (or whisk), and a loaf pan or freezer-safe container (glass, plastic, or metal all work).
Will the mix-ins sink while freezing?
The chopped cookies in this recipe are light enough to stay suspended throughout freezing. If you plan to use heavier mix-ins—large chocolate chunks or pieces of fruit—stir the mixture after it has frozen for an hour or two. As the cream begins to firm up, those pieces will remain evenly dispersed instead of settling at the bottom.

- blue food coloring, to tint
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 12 Oreo cookies, chopped
- 12 Chips Ahoy cookies, chopped

How to Make No-Churn Cookie Monster Ice Cream

1. Chop the cookies and set them aside.
2. Combine the heavy whipping cream and blue food coloring until you reach the shade you want.
3. Using an electric mixer, beat the cream until stiff peaks form—it should resemble whipped cream.
4. Gently fold in the vanilla extract and the sweetened condensed milk until just combined.
5. Fold in the chopped cookies, reserving a handful to sprinkle on top.

6. Spoon the mixture into a 9″x5″ loaf pan and sprinkle the reserved cookie pieces over the top.
7. Freeze for 6–8 hours, or until firm. Store leftovers in a freezer-safe container or cover the loaf pan tightly with plastic wrap to prevent freezer burn.
