A curated collection of more than 60 birth stories to help prepare your mind for labor and delivery—and to enjoy lots of sweet baby faces.

I prepare for birth by reading and listening to other mothers’ stories. Recently, when I was interviewed about empowered birth, I realized I didn’t have a single resource to share with the host—so I created one. This list includes over 60 birth stories I’ve read or listened to over the years. Birth is deeply personal: every labor is different and every baby writes their own story of entering the world.
I hope you enjoy exploring these accounts as much as I have. The stories are sorted alphabetically; audio episodes are noted as podcasts and the rest are written posts.

Are you as obsessed with birth stories as I am? I’m done having babies, but I still love reading and listening to them.
